Mmm...long weekend!
May. 27th, 2004 11:32 pmWoo-hoo! No more work until Tuesday! Huzzah!
It has to be "huzzah", because I just watched Master and Commander. Great movie. I was drooling over Russell Crowe the whole time. I don't know what makes him so damned attractive, but he's got it. Yep. The fabulous little video rental place down Comm Ave from me is going out of business. I am sad. They always had such a great selection of cult and foreign flicks, as well as the popular new releases. The people who worked there knew their stuff, too. At least a few of them were film students. But their stock is now up for grabs at cheap prices. I picked up the DVD of Master and Commander, along with videos of Delicatessen, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Way of the Gun, and The Red Violin for a total of $44. Most of the good stuff on DVD was gone already. They will still be getting some new stuff in next week, though--stuff they've already ordered, I guess--so I may make another run there.

My roommate found some couch sections (the corners) out in the hall tonight. We left them there for an hour or more in case someone was in the process of moving. When a lot of time went by and no one moved them (and it was 11 at night), we took them in and ditched two of our little wooden chairs. These are much comfier, and in quite decent shape.
Tomorrow: some housecleaning. Things I must do tomorrow include:
--put away clothes that were hanging to dry
--do all dirty dishes
--clean bathroom...again, including washing the floor
--wash stove
--sweep and wash kitchen floor
And then I make myself all clean and pretty and go see Shrek 2 with Jason C. Yay!
I think I can leave vacuuming for Saturday.
And now it is time to tidy up my room enough to sleep in, and get in bed with a good book and maybe some more tea. Tea! Yes! I do need more tea. Now if only I could have Russell Crowe in bed as well...*sigh*
