(no subject)

My employee review is coming up this week, and I am NOT looking forward to it. It sucks when a review comes on the heels of a fuckup, rather than after extended periods of time in which you do things very well. Gah. Anyway, that's been hanging over my head. I don't expect to lose my job or anything, but I DO expect to be told I'm not improving enough, yadda yadda yadda.

So I finally went out and did some Christmas shopping this past weekend. I got some beauty products for my mom (I'm making her a gift basket of natural beauty products) and some funky sparkly makeup for the sis. Not sure what to get my dad yet... pierceheart is the only other person I KNOW I need to buy for, and I won't be seeing him until March, so I have time there. My friend Dan said he's definitely going to come see me after the new year, so I would like to get him something nice. But if his visit falls through...I dunno. There are other people with whom I'm in that "do I buy something or not, and if I do, how much do I spend?" state. I may end up getting those people some little wacky fun or yummy things. We'll see. And the Flea is coming up. That's a good place to find stuff for certain people. :)

pierceheart, I just want to say how glad I am that even though we're so far apart, we can still spend quality time together. :)

So...my dance recital is coming up on Saturday. It's usually an all-afternoon affair. I haven't heard yet that anyone I know is interested in going. If you are, PLEASE let me know, because it would be kinda nice to have SOMEONE in the audience. Alas, I can't hang out with anyone after the show, and may even need to leave before the end if it goes late, because I have to be somewhere else for the evening.

And now back to work.
