First time in ages

I am actually staying home sick from work today. The cold pierceheart gave me had started getting lots better. Then all of a sudden, the sore throat started coming back. Last night I started feeling truly craptastic...feverish, achy, tired, and my throat was really sore. Blah. I said something about how I wished I could take the day off from work. Then I surprised myself by saying, "If I don't feel any better tomorrow, I think I will." I further surprised myself by calling in within a few minutes of waking up today. I haven't called in sick since I was working in RI. Now I'm on ibuprofin, but still feeling pretty damned crappy. My wonderful, sweet, darling boy is going to the grocery store to get Kleenex and ginger ale for me, because although I'm not exactly nauseous, my stomach isn't entirely happy either. I love him so much. I'm lucky to have him.

And now to dredge up my old business card template and some card stock for him to make cards for tonight's social. While he's there, I think I will order in for dinner and watch movies. Aye. And then I will get plenty of sleep and go to work tomorrow.
