Oy. Can I just say how sick I am of this "OMG! GENDER ROLES = EEEEVIL!!!" attitude so prevalent among Pagans? You find them oppressive, fine. Go do your own thing. But don't expect me to turn my spirituality inside out and upside down, to tear it to shreds and patch it clumsily back together with a lot of pieces missing, just because it offends you that my beliefs and practices incorporate the idea that MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT. Don't expect all public groups and events to do that, either.

Grow up and realize that just because someone else sees things differently than you do, it doesn't mean they have any desire to force you into any role you don't want. Frankly, most of us couldn't care less what you do or don't do. Live your life as you want, because your own preferences and choices as applied to YOUR LIFE don't affect me in any way.

It also doesn't mean that they are oppressing you. Get over it, and knock that chip off your shoulder, honey. Thank you.
