Wheeeee! kend.
Jun. 18th, 2006 05:27 pmAhh, what a weekend it's been!
Friday night I ended up having to run to catch my train because I had spent 20 minutes waiting for a Borders employee to check downstairs for a copy of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon. He didn't come up in all that time, and I had to run, without getting my father a present. Bah. I'll get him one later. Two for his birthday, maybe, if I can afford it. At least I was able to make him a card. I went out for dinner with my parents that evening, and ended the day watching A History of Violence. Mmm, staircase scene. *shiver*
Saturday consisted mainly of hanging out with my family and hearing about my sister's breakup with her boyfriend. Too bad. From what I saw of him he seemed fairly cool, but she revealed he's also sort of an overgrown frat boy. Poor sis. Maybe she should listen to the Leonard Cohen music I suggested to my mom to download. He's good when you're depressed.
My mom gave me a skirt, a top, and a pair of white linen capris to take home with me: she's outgrown them. Sweet! Now I can avoid laundry until TUESDAY! :) Wow. Good thing, because having spent quite a while playing in a pool with two fairly rambunctious adults and an energetic baby, I am somewhat pooped. Alas that
pierceheart couldn't join us. It was fun. My cheesecake went over very well. In fact, part of it went over onto my dress. Oops! At least I had my bathing suit to change into, so I could toss that in the laundry.
Now I'm gonna get some knitting done, and then maybe drive Binky into Boston for some fun. Just kidding, sweetie. :P
Oh, one more thing: I got my printer set up last night, FINALLY! Yay! I only had weird orange paper to put in it, and on top of that I think it might be laser paper, as the printouts are a bit blurry. I'll see about getting some good paper, and then it should be fine. Thanks again,
dee_cee and
erik_j_meyer!
