Good morning, world.

Hey, just so you know, I like this cool weather. The prospect of rain during the week kinda sucks, though. I don't mind it quite as much on the weekends, believe it or not, because it's easier for me to wear my hair curly then. No frizz problem, like when it's straight for work. On the other hand, not needing to water the garden is handy.


This is my last week working as a temp. Tuesday, I start my new job and also take orientation. I did end up e-mailing my old company (well, the admins, who were the ones I really liked) to let them know I got a job. It turns out the girl who was hired a few months before I left has also left. She's moving to London to live with her boyfriend. Good for her: she got out before it sucked out her soul. The other is still there. She seems to get along so well with my old boss, which shocks me, because she's a totally reasonable and nice person. We may have a drink after work sometime soon. I'd love to catch up on gossip.

And now I'm going to be starting an informal meeting to deal with passing off some of my current boss's work and stuff before she leaves. So I gotta go.

OMG! MIT has secret passages! Well, ok, they're not really secret. But so many buildings are connected BELOW ground level, through basement tunnels, I had no idea. I thought the Infinite Corridor was neat, but I didn't know that I could get all the way from my current building to my new building without going outside once. Wow! And they extend to many more buildings as well. This is pretty exciting to me. I guess I'm easily entertained. :)

Man, 4pm and already I'm hungry. Oy.
