(no subject)

So, tonight I am having dinner with some old friends as well as meeting a newer friend in person for the first time. *waves at evaelisabeth*

That should be fun. Although I got to see and chat with some people this weekend, it wasn't a particularly social weekend (though Friday night was). I spent most of Saturday in a cleaning frenzy. With the immeasurable help of pierceheart, the kitchen and dining room now are fit to use and show other people. The schmutz is even gone from the tops of the cabinets and the stuff sitting up there. You do NOT want to know how much schmutz was up there. The counters are no longer icky, nor is the stove, nor is the dish drainer. All the dish towels are cleaned. The kitchen table is cleared of about three months' worth of catalogues and junk mail. The place looks nice. Now I need to get the living room, bathroom, and my room done. The bathroom is already better: I got a new shower curtain liner and put up my celestial-patterened shower curtain, since the cute Hawaiian one was getting really schmutzig. (Can you tell what the word of the day is, folks?) I also got a new tub mat (so did fangirl715, so now we have a backup for when this one is no longer nice.

Today I was blasting by everyone when we were out walking at lunch. I would get way ahead, circle back, and then get way ahead again. Boy, having decent shoes on makes a difference. My Teva-type sandals are great for walking, even on rough terrain, but aren't great for speed. They make my shins hurt. My hiking boots are much better. Anyway, I worked up a serious sweat and got quite the workout, especially since we went a bit farther this time.

Dance starts again tomorrow, and it looks like nepenthe01 and I are in the same class again. Of course, she must have far outstripped me by now, seeing as I have been completely neglecting my dance. Sigh. Then I have Wednesday night free. Thursday night I might show up for Goffee for a change. Friday night and Saturday afternoon are taken. Sunday is free. And that's my week.
