Cold and comfort food

Ah, now HERE'S winter.

I just wish it could be here, where we're used to it, but not in California where it's making oranges triple in price. My Uggs totally proved worth the expense today. Yeah, baby.

I think I must have soup for dinner. Or chili. Hmm. I have pork tenderloin in the freezer. A pork and black bean chili might be quite nice. Pity I didn't have time to make it a crock-pot dish. I need to go to the store tonight to pick up some stuff for making stuffed mushrooms for the work party tomorrow, so I can get chili ingredients then. I think I will be making the mushrooms with a sort of crab rangoon stuffing: crabmeat, light cream cheese (maybe even half fat-free), scallions, and maybe some panko to bind it all together. Yum.

Stock footage?

Stocks are a pain in the ass. I spent about an hour and a half today trying to distill someone's SEC filings into a total dollar figure. NOT easy.

Can't wait to get out of here, hit the grocery store, and come home and make dinner. Mmm. Chili.
