Restaurant week

Memo to self:

Next time Restaurant Week comes around, decide right away that you want to go to a participating restaurant for dinner, pick which one you want to go to, and make the damn reservations right away. That way you won't miss out on a $33.07 prix fixe menu at Meritage. Ok?

Five positives

1. Got reservations at Sandrine's for Friday. Granted, the menu doesn't appeal to me the same way Meritage's did, but apparently the place is very very good, so I should enjoy it, I think. I know pierceheart's been wanting to take me there for a while. I'm trusting his judgment. Anyway, they have a dish he's been wanting to have for ages too, which should make him very happy.

2. Watched Shaun of the Dead last night and found it amazingly funny.

3. My mom's birthday party is this weekend. I'm thinking it'll be fun. Lots of good food, at the very least.

4. I'm getting yarn from lensman today! He is teh r0xx0r!

5. Hopefully I will see dahveed76 tomorrow or Thursday night, if only for a couple of hours before going to bed.

Hmm. It occurs to me that at least two of my positives are only partial positives. Sandrine's was not my first choice, and if I do have a date with dahveed76 this week, his sucky work schedule means we can't really DO anything or go anywhere. :(

Tuesdays seem to make me prone to melancholy. I think part of the reason is that I know I'm going to dance, and I don't look forward to it as much as I used to.

I kinda almost wish I could get back into martial arts or something...but am too picky about style and teachers. I was way spoiled on that.
