(no subject)

Yesterday, on my walk at lunch, I saw a cormorant and what was either an immature Little Blue Heron or a snowy egret in the Charles. :) Pretty cool.

Today it is lovely out. I did some spinning at lunch in my knitting group. I don't spin well, but I got a few pointers from a more experienced spinner that helped a lot. Apparently, merino is a bitch to spin. Who knew?

Tonight it looks like a quiet night at home for me. I may see if I can find some herb seedlings on my way home, and then will go home to a dinner of leftovers, some cleaning, and possibly some homework. Tomorrow, I have a date with Johnny Depp. *swoon*

Also tomorrow, I get out of work early. Yeah, baby!

(no subject)

Oy. I so want to get out of here. I like my work and all, but the day is DRAGGING. That's the problem with Thursday's Stitch-n-Bitch forcing me to take an earlier lunch than usual. It makes the afternoon seem much longer. So does being hungry. I've actually been rather good on the dieting so far this week, though I drank too much on Tuesday night. The munchies I split with pierceheart over the drinks were not too bad: hummus and pita and some grilled shrimp. I have leftover chicken and veg stir fry waiting for me at home...tasty, indeed, but I kinda want to pig out on something bad for me, or at least eat a large amount of food. But no. I'll be good. If I find myself with the munchies after dinner, I'll steam up some green beans or make a salad, or something. And I'll drink sugar-free pink lemonade which is more interesting than water, so I don't decide I'd rather have a beer because I'm sick of plain water.

Tuesday night, by the way, was great fun. I had suggested to pierceheart that we should go out somewhere nice for drinks at some point soon. He suggested we do so right then, and so we did. Sometimes, spontaneity with someone you love trumps a diet. :) It was refreshing. We went to Sabur where I had a Purple Haze with the munchies we got, and then we had a beer at the VFW (not quite as nice, but cheap!) and heard a pipe band practicing there! It was cool.

So I will be leaving soon. Maybe now. I got here at 8:11 today, when I don't need to be in until 8:30. So technically, I can go home. Think I will. There's only one other person in here anyway. Yup! Here I go.
