Mixed Bag Weekend
Jun. 10th, 2007 07:31 pmFriday night was a quiet evening at home with
pierceheart, which was nice. There won't be any more of those until late July, so it was good to have one. Saturday morning, we slept in, then went to Deluxe Town Diner in Watertown for a nummy breakfast. After that, we went antiquing for a bit. We didn't buy anything, but had fun looking around. There was a nifty cauldron that I liked, but which was a little rusty. Later, we went to Good Times to play skee-ball and old arcade games, and to ride the little go-karts. After redeeming our tickets (pair of cheap handcuffs, deck of playing cards, glow-in-the-dark necklace, and bouncy ball), we went back to the boy's place for beer and stuff. We then left for our appointment at Urban Oasis. We started with an hour in the hot tub, and then got an hour of massage. We were feeling pretty happy and melty when we walked out of there! Dinner was tasty bar food and beer at Bukowski's, and then we came back to my place. I started falling asleep on the couch while we were watching TV, so we went to bed. This morning we said our goodbyes, and he left for the day. He leaves for Washington tomorrow. :(
I just have to say...
pierceheart still takes my breath away, he's such an amazing guy. I love him madly.
Well, maybe not that last line exactly, but you get the picture.
Anyway, this afternoon, I spent at a party at
fyrebloom's place. It was fun. We played Fluxx and a couple of games involving clear plastic pyramids. We watched a Siamese cat play fetch, and kept an eye on rugrats who were being cute and getting into trouble like toddlers always do. Now I am home, and I think I'm going to run to the grocery store to get a couple things before calling it an evening and plopping down with something to knit.
I just have to say...
Grand pianos crash together
when my boy walks down the street.
There are whole new kinds of weather
when he walks with his new beat.
Everyone sings hallelujah
when my boy walks down the street.
Life just kind of dances through ya
from your smile down to your feet.
Amazing--
he's a whole new form of life.
Blue eyes blazing,
and he's going to be my wife.
Well, maybe not that last line exactly, but you get the picture.
