The good and the not-so
Jul. 5th, 2007 04:21 pmYesterday's party was quite the success. I got to hang out with some good friends and some new people who were very nice, and I ate lots of good food! CLAM CAKES ARE AWESOME, I tell you. I also got the opportunity to sing Happy Birthday to
tigira, and to give her something I've been meaning to give her for a little while.
I had a nice long walk after dinner to work off some of those clam cakes. Gods, I really do love walking. So often in the morning, walking to the T stop from home, or to work from the other T stop, I just want to keep on walking and not stop. Long walks are blissful.
I've been really looking forward to this coming weekend because
dahveed76 had been planning to come to visit, and I haven't seen him since mid-May. I haven't had a date at all in a month. But now the poor guy is getting sick, and it's looking like he might not be able to make it. Both of us are frustrated. Having a LDR when neither of you owns a car is hard.
If I don't get to see
dahveed76 this weekend, I will get some writing-up of stuff finished, and will get out of the house and do something. What, I don't know. Part of me wouldn't mind going clubbing, but I don't think there's anywhere accessible to me that has a theme I'd be interested in on Friday night. I miss ManRay. At least I have the party on Saturday, which will be a blast even without my boy.
