I had a very busy but very good weekend. Saturday, after coming home from
pierceheart's place, I got picked up by
tigira and
meadmaker and F. They brought me to their place, where I spent several rather enjoyable hours babysitting F. We played outside a lot. :) Then,
meadmaker came back and whisked us both away to a mutual friend's home where a big ol' potluck dinner was waiting. Much good food was eaten and enjoyed. When I got home, I crashed on the futon watching The Indian Runner until I was sleepy.
Yesterday, I got up early and took the train in to Salem for some shopping. I bought a lovely pentacle for my altar (simple copper) and a couple black candles for a certain shrine. I had a lot of fun walking around town. When I came back, I went grocery shopping, and started dinner. I failed. I was about to add a pinch of salt to the coconut milk and green curry paste for a Thai curry, but the container slipped out of my wet hands and the WHOLE THING dumped into the pot. I ended up making a hoisin, fish sauce, shrimp broth, and ginger-flavoured stir fry instead, thus saving dinner. I added spiciness with a whole fresh cayenne pepper from my garden. :)
Tonight I'm seeing some friends for dinner and then spending the night with the boy. Tomorrow is his birthday, and I have some nice plans for that. :) Hopefully at some point this week, I'll be able to get dinner with
zzbottom. The weekend brings a bridal shower and a birthday party on the same day, followed by a day of brewing. Yay!
