Mar. 31st, 2008 12:05 pmSo, this weekend was fun. Friday night involved laundry and dinner at Johnny D's, which was ok but unexciting. However, it also involved Doctor Who at the boy's place. That was fun.
Saturday was more interesting.
pierceheart had to work, so I took the opportunity to choreograph my recital piece. I think I like what I have. It will need tweaking, I'm sure, but it's a start. I'd forgotten that
pierceheart would be gone until the wee hours of the morning, but I decided I'd make fajitas (including guacamole) for myself anyway for dinner. Yum. I really need to make a big batch of guacamole for the next party I go to. I watched Torchwood in the evening.
Sunday, we went to three open houses. The first place, in Somerville, was too small. The layout actually did NOT suck, but the kitchen was really too small to comfortably be an eat-in kitchen, and there was only one additional non-bedroom room, so no dining room possibility. Meh. The second one, in Malden, was quite nifty: big, odd-but-workable layout (bedrooms separated by two bathrooms!), nice place. But it has a $430 condo fee and is already near the top of our price range without taking that into consideration. Meh again. The third place (also in Malden) was a decent size, but had a godawful layout. We drove around and looked at some other places, though not the insides. It's so frustrating.
Sunday evening was much fun. We spent it with
geoogo and
cutieyum. We met at their place for margaritas and hung out there for a while, then headed over to Rio in Arlington Center for Brazilian barbecue. YUM! Meat! Tasty meat! Lots of it! It was really, really good to see them again. They are awesome people.
And now, I am hungry and want lunch. Salad. Not meat.
