Things and stuff

pierceheart and I left for his parents' beach house in CT around noon on Thursday, and had a nice, traffic-free drive for the most part. We went out to dinner with his parents that evening. On the fourth itself, we hit the beach for some sailing. That was a bit tricky, since the wind was very light and never seemed to be coming from a convenient direction, but it was fun. I felt pretty glamtastic, in my red bikini and big sunglasses, out for a sail with a cute guy! :) In the evening, we had a nice dinner with his parents and watched a cute little neighborhood parade. Then, we went down to the beach and watched people set off fireworks. It was good that we got some sailing weather that morning, because Saturday was grey and gloomy, and ended up rainy. We visited a craft fair, and then went to an arcade that turned out to be pretty crappy, but we won some prizes. We spent a long time browsing in a bookstore, and then went back to the house. Sunday, we left in the early afternoon, and had a pretty decent trip back. On the way, we decided that the boy needed coffee and I needed water, so we stopped here to get those things. While we waited to be served, I browsed the books for sale and found this, which cracked me up. It's cheesetastic! I wish I'd bought it!
It was good to get home and see my kitty, who was certainly thrilled to see us. Now, I have dance class tonight, and should probably do laundry tomorrow (it's piling up). Wednesday may or may not bring salsa lessons, and Thursday is a free day. Friday is up in the air, but I would like to have a date of some sort. Saturday, I'll be heading to a friend's cookout and pool party! Yay!
