Party!

The housewarming party for our new apartment happened yesterday. It went great! We managed to get the place looking pretty damn good by the time people showed up: we put down some of the Oriental rugs, opened the dining room table up to full size, put away some of the extraneous stuff that was just sitting around, and got everything nice and clean. We also bought way, way, way too much food. :)

Thanks to everyone who showed up: it was great to see you all! The gifts you brought were all very much appreciated, and your presence in our home even more so. To those of you who couldn't make it for one reason or another: you were missed! I hope those of you who were sick are feeling better soon.

We totally forgot to send everyone home with large amounts of mead. Oops. Next time any of you visit, it will be foisted off on you! Maybe even before then.

We managed to get stuff pretty well cleaned up before going to bed last night. That was nice. It meant that all we had to do this morning was empty the dishwasher, really. Looking around the apartment today, I have to say that I really like this place. We have it looking like a real home now, which is such a nice change from previous apartments. Yay!
