Best breakfast ever
Dec. 29th, 2008 09:48 amI made tarkana today for breakfast. It's an Armenian dessert. I used a little less sugar than the recipe called for. Basically, you simmer bulgur with lots of water, honey, and sugar, then add spices and simmer a bit longer, until it's sort of pudding-y. You serve it with chopped walnuts and a dollop of yogurt. SO. GOOD. Damn.
Oh, hey--I haven't posted real stuff in ages. Here's a holiday update.
Family's doing well. My sister and mom together still drive me a bit nuts, but what's new?
Presents were awesome. The ones I gave were well-received (even the stole for
pierceheart's mom! YAY!) and the ones I got were much appreciated.
Food was consumed in mass quantities. Bad, bad Laura. But it was GOOD food.
Today I am running errands and cleaning. Not a bad day for it.
