Jun. 2nd, 2009 03:31 pmGuess who just saw a bunch of fuzzy-butt goslings on her walk?
I DID!!!
The cute, it burned.
There is an area down by the Charles, near the Cambridge side of the BU Bridge, where ( tons of geese ) hang out. Today, walking under the Mem Drive overpass and toward the bridge, I saw two families of geese on the grass near there, foraging for food. There was one family with a pair of adults and one baby, and another with a pair of adults and I think three babies. I didn't get too close, but watched them for a bit, then went on. I wished I'd photographed them, because they were gone when I came back. :(
There were more babies at the Big Ol' Goose Hangout, but again, I didn't want to get too close. When I came up to the flock, they all went, "OMG, DO YOU HAVE FOOD FOR US???" and came up to me. ( CLOSE up. )
None of the babies got close, alas. But it was still fun.
