Aug. 22nd, 2009 11:30 amOh yeah, the cold has really settled in today. I've taken some drugs, so hopefully the symptoms will subside a bit and I won't feel quite so much like crap. I do want to be able to leave the house today. Partly to get more drugs. Speaking of leaving the house, Weather Underground is painting a grimmer picture of the weather today than Weather.com. According to the second, it's 82, feels like 87. According to the first, it's 90, feels like 103. BLEAH.
Maybe I shouldn't even both going out today. I mean, I have Mucinex, Sudafed, and NyQuil. No cough suppressant syrup, but really, when I think about it, how much does that shit actually HELP me? Not much. I KNOW that when I go out when I'm sick, I end up doing too much. I was thinking about hitting Super 88 in Malden, but really, walking in the hot sun and sticky humidity would be miserable. I was thinking about checking the ripeness of the blackberries that grow wild near the river, but again: hot sun. Humidity. They'll be there tomorrow, if they're even good and ripe yet. I do need a few things at the regular grocery store, too. Mostly breakfast stuff. But I have enough for tomorrow. Dinner tonight? I suppose I can just get the buffalo chili out of the freezer. I also have pasta sauce and some Morningstar Farms veggie crumbles, and pasta with which I could consume them. I have salad stuff. I could certainly go through today without leaving the house. Which is what I should really do.
OK, so I'll be good. I'll have my second cup of coffee and some water. I'll shower and dress comfortably. I'll bring in the trash can and recycling bin. I'll empty the dishwasher. And then, I'll just plunk myself down to finish my skirt. Yeah. That'll be accomplishment enough for the day.

I usually try to keep most of my knitting blather on my Knitting Geeks filter, but I just need to brag about finishing my skirt! It's this pattern. I made it in red, with a black ribbon. It's unbelievably cute, and fits me perfectly! As soon as I can, I'll get some pictures up. :)
