Good morning!
Nov. 2nd, 2009 08:53 amSo yeah, I was feeling sleepy early last night because of the time change. But this morning, it was light out when I woke up, and it made waking up so easy! Yay! I know that won't last forever, but it's nice while it does last.
My weekend was great. I didn't get a chance to dress up (boo) but I DID get a chance to spend some time doing awesome and meaningful things with some of my favorite people (yay). Yesterday, I tended to the garden. I dumped the old basil plants (saving some seeds), dumped the tomato plants, and brought the thyme inside (it was looking a little sad). I now have at least four jalapeƱo plants that are flowering and fruiting a second time! The self-reseeded cilantro is doing well too. I made a little guacamole on Saturday. :)
I had a few mini candy bars (3 Musketeers and Snickers) left over from Halloween. They're in the freezer. I figured there weren't all that many, so we might as well keep and enjoy them. Not too excessive. Here at work, however, there are leftovers from Friday's party (cookies, crackers, pretzels, nuts, candy...) and people's leftover Halloween candy. OY. These people are trying to kill me. This, after I got on the scale this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the number I saw there. So surprised, in fact, that I got off the scale, gave it a bit of a shake, moved it to another spot on the floor, reset it, and tried again. Same thing. Oh, OK. On the plus side, the sheer variety of food available seems to be keeping me from temptation. I don't want to eat EVERYTHING, so I would have to pick one or two small things to eat, but choosing is hard, so I've had nothing except my healthy breakfast of oatmeal and yogurt. Win.
Now, back to work.
