Back at work. Yippee.

So...much exciting news on the clothing front. I have finally managed to find...*drum roll*...a suit!!! Ann Taylor Loft in Faneuil Hall sells suit separates in both regular and petite sizes. I found a nice jacket and pants in a charcoal grey with lavender pinstripes. I got a cute knit shell in the same lavender to go underneath the jacket. I know I was going to discuss it further with you, [livejournal.com profile] lindalee, but we never got back on the topic. FYI, Ann Taylor Loft is right below the Gap store in Faneuil Hall. The stuff is a little pricey for what I usually get, but this was worth it in my opinion.

Thursday night after work, I met [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart for
We went to Bomboa. Drinks were yummy. We each had a mojito and a capirinha. Appetizers were yummy too--the calamari was to die for. My entree was ok, but nothing special. Certainly not as special as the price would suggest. It was a not-that-flavorful salmon filet with a sweetish sauce on top, accompanied by what I think were a few pieces of tempura veggies, buried under the fish. Dessert at Cafe Vittoria was better, being the best tiramisu EVAR.

Once back at the boy's place, I dozed a while before waking up, heading to the bathroom, and throwing up. Bleah. It took a while for my stomach to return to normal, but it could have been worse. I got some sleep.

Friday, we headed out for the Cape. was that I realized I'd forgotten my bathing suit. I was so focused on the idea of going to the nude beach, I forgot about the non-nude ones we'd be visiting. Grr. So I tried on a variety of 2-piece separates at a store, and found that none of the tops fit--they were either ginormous or itty-bitty. Mostly the latter. So I got a rather ugly plain black one-piece. Then we hit the beach. The beach hit back. Huge swells kept pounding us into the sand when we rode them. I still have a scrape on my thigh, and [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart got his toe cut open when a wave smashed a rock into his foot. Fun, though, but cold. Dinner was much better than the previous night: baked stuffed lobster. Mmm. Then we saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That movie is SICK. SICK AND TWISTED. I squee'd with glee repeatedly. My favourite line? "It's not really whipped cream unless it's been whipped with whips. EVERYONE knows that!" :D So. Movie love.

Saturday morning we checked out and headed down the Cape. was fun. It had all the enjoyable kitsch that I've come to know and love in beach communities, and which the part we'd been on before had lacked. We found a doormat that reminded us greatly of [livejournal.com profile] cairpre26. I found what I think will be a gift for someone in the future. We walked quite a ways in town. Then we headed for the nude beach. This was no simple task. It involved parking at Herring Cove beach, calling [livejournal.com profile] dee_cee to find out where the nekkid section was (head left until you see dangly bits and bare buns), and then walking about two miles over squooshy sand until we got there. We spent some time lying in the sun and wading in the water, and then got dressed again for the long walk back.

The trip home took us a while because of the problem of finding food along Route 6. We couldn't. we found a place and ate, making [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart much less cranky. We got home by tenish and slept like logs. In the morning, we got up to go buy cheese--with beer in it! Then we had a lovely day in the park with our friends, followed by much eating of nummy food. Came back to my place where we watched From Hell (more Johnny Depp goodness) and slept.

So all in all it was a good weekend, though it did have a rocky start. Next weekend...that will be interesting. Especially Saturday. Busy, busy, busy day. Don't anyone ask me to do anything Friday night or Saturday, please--there's too much going on.

Um. Now to get to work. And soon find some time to e-mail F, who I haven't talked to in a while now. Hope all a' y'all had a good weekend too. :)
