-Okay, lesson 1: Kill things before you eat them.

-Lesson 2: Never eat anything bigger than your head, and definitely never eat anything bigger around than your torso!

OMG!!! That's so cool! How long until "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish?"

By the way, do you know how a person would go about getting ribbons made for Arisia?

my thought would be looking into a custom order from a print shop or an award shop (the ribbons remind me of awards given in grade school). I would guess that having an example of the ribbon to copy would likely help a lot.

I thought the pattern changed every year, and was only released in like the last week before the con.

The ribbon is basically the same year to year. ~1" wide x ~6" long, serated edges, sticky part in top half inch, [livejournal.com profile] arisia logo an inch below the top, words an inch below that. The colors for departments or positions are relatively consistent as well for the last five years. So what was used last year is most likely going to be the same this year as well.

ps - yes, I volunteered to help out at the con office the last couple times. when ribbons are needed bulk orders that could last for for two more years were apparently in the norm.

okay, so what are the no go colours, so one could figure out what are safe colours to use for making joke ribbons (Like "Classy Mensch")?

I recall that the colors of the joke ribbons last time about were all a dark / hunter green. maybe sticking with that would be good? One I would know to avoid are: black (con-chair), rainbow (gopher), white (staff). I think yellow might also be open, bit I do not think that that shows up to well.

Okay, in '03 there were hunter green, orange, light purple, and dark purple . . .
As far as I can tell, that is . . .
Would you happen to know any contact info for a company that makes those sort of ribbons?
