1. Yeah, he's great. And you'll think that eleven years from now. But realize that his issues aren't going to go away.
2. Years from now you're going to show off that picture from junior prom to guys and they're going to feel bad for drooling over a 16-year-old.
3. You'll look even better at senior prom.
4. Your sister WILL eventually grow up a bit.
5. So will your mom.
6. Yes, Shane MacGowan IS very cool. Wait until you hear about Nick Cave and Blixa Bargeld in a few years.
7. Believe it or not, there are better beers out there than Guinness. Though that one is damn good.
8. Honey, you are NOT fat. You're gonna gain a lot of weight in the second half of college and in grad school and after, so enjoy that 145-pound body. One day, you'll be proud to get BACK to that. It's not a bad place to be.
9. Do not wear tapered jeans. Soon you'll discover boot cut.
10. Yes, that will still be the best bathing suit ever eleven years from now.
11. That cute new puppy will only live another 10 years. Enjoy her cuteness now.
12. Yeah, Rossignol is a tough teacher, but he's going to be singing your praises to next year's class.
13. Georgetown will wait-list you. You'll get over it.
14. No, you are NOT going to end up wanting a job in politics. You'd hate the sound of where you end up, but you'll love the job.
