1. What do you do for a living?
I'm an administrative assistant, focusing mostly on sales, at a company that develops information system software for anatomic pathology labs.
2. What do you like most about your job?
I make a decent amount of money, and the people I work with are intelligent and pleasant to be around.
3. What do you like least about your job?
Sometimes things can get really hectic, and the need to get stuff done REALLY fast doesn't take precedence over the need to do it just right. Trying to attain perfection in a rush isn't easy.
4. When you have a bad day at work it's usually because _____...
My boss can be a big-time perfectionist, and he can have a temper when things don't turn out right. He's often made me feel about an inch tall. Fortunately, he's gotten better at telling me exactly what he wants, so that I get it right the first time and he doesn't get mad.
5. What other career(s) are you interested in?
Journalism, mostly, whether as writer or editor. I'd also love to be a fiction writer, but I suck at writing fiction. I am also interested in archaeology, but the likelihood of my going back to school for a degree in that is slim to none. I'll probably be an armchair archaeologist all my life. I would like to go work on a dig, though. It's fun. Even the painstaking, slow, boring stuff is fun. Even the library research is fun. Yeah, I'd have made a good archaeologist.
