Yikes, what a weekend!

1. Always remember that after an accident, the first thing out of one's mouth should be "first of all, we're all ok." (No, I didn't get in one.)

2. If you amuse small children once, they will think you are their personal plaything the rest of the day.

3. When you don't get your morning coffee until 6pm, you really, really appreciate it.

4. If it's long and dark green and it's bite makes you scream, that's a moray.

5. Sometimes, you really do have to tie bells there!

6. Catching up with friends who used to be boyfriends who you haven't talked to in over a year is not easy, but it is very much worthwhile.

7. Thank the rain for holding off until Sunday. (Thank you, rain!)

8. Morris dancing is cool! Don't listen to what anyone else says!

9. Lemon verbena is like a little bit of heaven in a flowerpot.

10. It's always good to cheer up a friend who needs it.

And those are the lessons of the weekend, folks. There are others, but they don't mean anything to anyone but moi. :)

The one that means the most to me is:
"Sometimes, you really do have to tie bells there!"

The Oracle at Delphi said everything in moderation, nothing in excess. That definately applies to Morris Dancing.

Don't get that one, but I'm sure it's funny if you know what you're referring to. :P

Well, if you saw my friends capering about in their cute little bowler hats with bells on their ankles, you'd think it was adorable!

Morris Dancing is definitely cool. Last weekend they had a sheep-shearing festival in Waltham, and we took Mike's 3-year-old daughter. Her first exposure to Morris Dancing. She was fascinated.

Wanted to know if she could hug the dancers.

Not sure Mike was too comfortable with that notion, but I thought it was funny that she was "starting early", so to speak.
