Ah, Friday!

And I have no plans for tonight! Waah! I want to go out. Anyone else bored for tonight and want to catch a movie or something? Or go play pool with someone you're guaranteed to beat? Man Ray?

Well, anyway, I should probably say that breaking the news to Mike last night went well. We're going to just be friends now. Turns out he was reading my LJ and saw what I was going to say, even though he told me back in January that he wasn't going to read it. Bastard. I suppose I forgive him, but I think it was very rude. Turns out he also wanted to stop dating. Basically, he could tell that I didn't have my heart in it anymore and that made him feel like it wasn't right, too. So we'll just hang out as friends. No problems there.

I've met some nice people on different online personals thingies lately. One is autumnsshadow. Seems like a pretty cool guy, with the same chronic business problem as me. There's another who I don't think is on LJ, who I almost lost touch with when I accidentally deleted his e-mail address weeks ago. Whoops! Good thing he wrote me again! There's a couple more who I haven't talked to quite as much yet. Haven't met anyone in person at all, though. Perhaps eventually. :)

Mmm. So. I am going to try to visit my parents sometime this weekend. Holiday stuff, maybe go digital camera shopping with mom, give da a Fathers' Day present (late, yes). So pierceheart, if I do get down there this weekend, you may be getting some more pictures of me soon. :)

Better get to work. Bleah.

I think the problem with people like us is that we're either really busy or really bored. I'll take busy any day though.

Amen to that! Now if I can just find something to keep me busy tonight I'll be all set. Maybe I'll just end up watching a Johnny Depp flick and knitting, but I think I want to go out and do something.

I was wanting to go to the club, but it's the last day of the conference I'm at so there's a big party tonight in the vice-presidential suite. Hopefully there will be another thunderstorm to watch from the top floor of the hotel :)

It was fun, although the conference net cut out earlier than I remembered so I'm just now getting home and catching up.

I was still awake last night at 4am so we just opened the window/curtains to listen/watch better :)

This evening, alas, no thunderstorms to see from the 36th floor like the last time I was at the same conference downtown (I was watching lightning strike the pru, then... very impressive).

Ah, I was asleep at 4am the other night. I didn't think I'd be able to get back to sleep with all that going on, but I managed. Good thing, too: otherwise I'd have gone to work on less than 4 hours of sleep. Not fun.

I find thunderstorms are good for getting to sleep. I have recordings of thunder and rainstorms to listen to when I can't sleep sometimes...

I've been going downtown on very little sleep all week but more than 4 hours.
