Found a grey hair this morning at my temple. Oy vey, I'm only 24! Most of my friend consider me the young'un of the bunch! I blame [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart. Naturally. :P

On the plus side, if the three I've seen so far are any indicator, I will have a head of lush, thick, curly grey hair someday. It's thicker than my dark hair. That's nice to know for when I'm getting old enough that grey hair will look ok on me...say, 70 or so! (I refuse to submit to it while I'm still young enough to get looks from guys on the street, and if my mom is any indicator, as I think she is, that will last a while.)

Oh, and just for kicks, there's

3 gray hairs? Ah, nothing to worry about. I had more than that 10 years ago. Really, they do start slowly. I've also learned that grapeseed extract helps slow it down (as does just general nutrition - are you taking any supplements?)

Mine have exploded since my dietary issues started. I can't get the various proteins that keep it slow. Methinks I needs must start dying my hair!

Wow. I do take multivitamin/mineral supplements, and calcium pills. I also eat a pretty good variety of food. I'm not too worried, though--three isn't much, like you said.

Yeah, 24 is about when I started seeing grey hairs. I was so excited about it, too. I thought it was kinda cool, and ran around showing everyone at work. They thought I was off my rocker. Some kinds of greying isn't just distinguished, it's funky. I kinda like it.

But yeah--the boy gives me grey hair, too, I'm pretty sure. They do that.

Hehe. Somehow, that doesn't surprise me about you. :)

I don't think much one way or another about them. If I had a lot at this age, it would piss me off, though.

It's their job. Just as it's our job to pay them back in kind. >:)

LOL

Now, I don't really mind it at all. I find it a bit amusing, and there aren't enough to be a problem. You were twelve? Weird...

I KNOW I have one WHITE one in my left sideburn. ONE.

As for my hair, I am slowly losing it. Just typical MPB, just starting to peak in at the temples. My mom has always believed it is typical for military men to go that way, because of the hats . . .

Grey hair IS white hair, says the Body Shop book. It's hair without pigment. Grey is when there are darker strands mixed in with it. Could be wrong, but that's what they said. Yes, the hair I pulled out this morning looked white. I find it amusing that I am going to have great old lady hair someday.

I think I was about 19 when I found my first one (now tied onto my wand). The funny thing was that it was a kind of sparkly silver, not really white or grey. I actually thought I had tinsel in my hair, and was wondering how THAT had happened in the middle of July. When I tried to pick it out of my hair, I felt it detatch from my scalp, and thought, "OOPS!!"

Then I was just mad at myself for accidentally plucking it out. I've had a few since then, but I'm certainly not going all grey by a long shot, and it's been almost 12 years now ...
