Ahhhh, weekend!
Jul. 10th, 2004 11:16 amSo last night was very low-key. Which is different from its being in any way related to a certain Norse deity whose homonymous (is that a word?) name I will not mention.
After work, the president took me and one of the techs out for beers. The other tech was invited, but he couldn't make it. So I had a Guinness at the boss's expense at the Elephant and Castle. Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy.
I went to the Harvest Co-op in Central afterwards. I found out they sell the shampoo bar that I like for quite a bit cheaper than Whole Foods, where I usually get it, so I bought a backup. Got half a dozen Clif bars too--they were on sale for a buck. I went to Spike's on the way home, because I had a hot dog craving. Haven't had one in over a year, I think. Brown mustard. Relish. Onion. Celery salt!!!!! No one should think of opening a hot dog joint without offering celery salt. Naturally, this is a Rhode Island-based operation. :)
Came home, read several e-mails from
So today, had a good breakfast and coffee. Continuing to knit. I will also do a bit more cleaning up today before getting ready to go out with Geoff tonight. Oh man, I can taste that perfect pint already. The Druid in Inman Square. It's actually got a certificate on the wall from a local Druidic organization (can't remember if it's OBOD or ADF) saying they pour the best pint in the Boston area. I concur. Walking into The Druid is like walking through a wormhole in space and ending up in a pub in Galway.
Ok, I think it's time for me to get back to the knitting for a bit. It looks like a gorgeous day out there. I will have to go play outside at some point.
