Friday night was "moovie" night (which surprisingly did not involve any cows) at [livejournal.com profile] pir's place. Not many people showed up, but we had fun watching Dark City and Hellboy (and I only slept through a little of Hellboy. Oh, [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart, I met another Norwich grad! I mentioned your name, and since I didn't know your graduation year, I told him your age. He said you were "before his time", but still...small world.

Next morning started with coffee and a banana, because it's hard to find a good diet breakfast in most places. Then off to [livejournal.com profile] lindalee's for a couple hours. She is totally de-packratting her house! She gave me a gorgeous set of candleholders shaped like a stag and a doe. Shiny! My only taper holders before this were crappy rusted ones that I got for a buck at a flea market.

Got some lunch at Pizzeria Uno in Porter Square. They do garden salads with your choice of protein toppings, quite good for you. Nummy. Then I hopped the T to Kenmore and took the shuttle from there to the Cambridgeside Galleria to hang out for a bit before meeting [livejournal.com profile] leenah for the LOTR exhibit at the Museum of Science. Unbeknownst to me, [livejournal.com profile] leenah was actually on the bus with me. D'oh! We shopped around a bit at the mall and then went to the museum.

So, the LOTR exhibit was very nice. We geeked out over the costumes and weapons and shinies there. We ogled the armour. It was great. We also drooled over some amber shinies in the museum shop, but didn't buy anything. Chinese food in Chinatown followed, and the wait staff only had to check to find out what we ordered three times! And the fried rice came out only ten minutes after we finished the rest of our food! Sheesh. It was tasty, though.

Today is for cleaning. I did lots of dishes already. Now to finish my coffee and get cracking on the rest of the stuff I need to do.

Um. I am a happy and contented Laura today. Life is good. Now I must be productive.

Yeah, that sounds like a good weekend to me as well. :) So far I've put dishes in the dishwasher, a load of laundry in the washing machine, and I'm at the tail end of cooking breakfast. (Well, considering what time it is now, actually brunch. But it's a big breakfast, so Jeff and I won't feel the need to eat again until maybe 3 or 4 at least.) We've got plans for all kinds of productivity today as well.

Well, we'll see how "totally" the de-packratting is when we get there, but much progress has been made.

I was quite productive yesterday, and if I can find the time before and after my several hours of commitments, maybe I'll be able to be productive again today. But we'll see.

We had a few rough spots this weekend. Or, over the last few days, including right before the weekend.

I am glad they are getting smoothed out.

I wake up every day realizing how lucky I am, and how good things are getting.

And I know we will have rough times again, but we will smooth them again as well.

Love you!

I'm glad too. And really, everyone has rough spots. I'm amazed we haven't had more. :)

We have had a lot more. But they were so close in succession, they just seemed like one big one. Those days are behind us, now.

Well, I mean rough spots on a good relationship, not just a bad relationship.

Yes, I think the days of a bad relationship are behind us. :)
