Ah, now I have a moment to sit down and prattle on aimlessly about stuff. Yay!

I ended up having fun on Friday night after all: [livejournal.com profile] lindalee and I made ourselves a fabu dinner at her place: curried squash and mushroom soup, and (my contribution) chicken in yogurt-mint sauce. Yum. We MST3Kd Logan's Run while eating and then while knitting. The Funky Shawl is progressing nicely now that I've started over after fixing the pattern.

Yesterday I was all productive with the cleaning up and suchlike. Fell asleep right at the end of Way of the Gun on the couch. I forgot how much I enjoyed that flick. There are so many great lines in there. I did get a bit bored with the long gunplay scenes though. If there's going to be a lot of long fight scenes in a movie, they should be more fun ones with martial arts or edged weapons. Yeah.

Today I wasn't quite as good about getting stuff done, but I did do more dishes and wash the kitchen floor (at last!). I also re-discovered my copy of The Enchanted Broccoli Forest, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] lindalee's soup. I found a few recipes in there that are either good for my diet or can be made to be so, and I am making one tonight: It has eggplant, onions, mushrooms, and peas all cooked up and mixed with some of my fat-free cheddar and cider vinegar, topped off with smashed potatoes (skins still on) made with a little light butter and some plain fat free yogurt. I decided on the light butter because it's a lot better for me than regular butter or margarine, but unlike diet margarine, you can also bake with it. W00t. I must find some diet-friendly stuff to bake eventually.

So I now have the shepherd's pie in the oven, and am contemplating what kind of shepherd would herd eggplants and mushrooms. An Entwife, maybe?

I will try to get the bathroom cleaned tonight, but if I fail, I fail. There's a full week ahead of me. Monday: laundry (only chance!). Tuesday: dance. Wednesday: Wicca discussion, unless I can get some other stuff done that I need to do. Thursday: [livejournal.com profile] geoogo's movie night (unless he cancels it again, in which case I am going to pester him until I get a chance to say hi to him in person on some other occasion). Friday: witchy goodness. Saturday: head to the parents' place for the weekend.

And now I think I will start cleaning the bathroom while dinner continues to bake. 'Bye for now!

[livejournal.com profile] lindalee kinda reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] ingridsummers for some reason.

Is this the person who [livejournal.com profile] lindalee was confused with--from the back--in a rather amusing way?

Where'd you go that you were out the door before getting my text?

Anyway, glad to hear you had a good weekend. I will describe mine when I can. Very interesting. Oh, and my "kid" emailed us. He is much better.

LOL...yes, I love that. I also love the way Ryan Phillipe punches that loudmouth skank in the face in that scene.

But the line I quote all the time is "a plan is just a list of things that don't happen." It's so true.

And then there's the sperm donor interview scene...oh god, that cracks me up.
