So the mouse on my laptop (a trackpoint) is seriously fucked the hell up. It randomly zigs and zags everywhere without my touching it, and sometimes even gets stuck (or at least very hard to move) in one spot. I've tried cleaning the area on my keyboard, but if there are particles of dirt in there that are fucking it up, I can't do much about it. I don't want to have to pay to get the entire keyboard unit replaced, and definitely don't want to get another computer. I am going to get myself a new external mouse to connect via the USB port, or maybe the round mouse port if there is one. I will probably get one on ebay, unless someone can tell me a cheaper place. Now, my question: is there a particular brand, style, function, etc. I should look for? I basically want something functional and reliable that tends to last a good long time. Recommendations welcome.

And on an entirely unrelated note, oh man am I craving mead. Mmm. Mead.

On the USB mouse front I'd just pick one you like. I need to go buy a new small one since the little cheap one I bought 3 years ago for about $5 just broke it's scroll wheel.

On the keyboard/trackpoint front, what's the exact make, model and model number of your laptop ? I've had a little experience finding cheap parts for laptops...

Gods, I hope so. Anne really liked the venue we were at this past year, though, so unless I can find someone to sit in for me, I might not have a choice. In all fairness, I want to grow the business as much as she does, but...Eh...

Yeah. We've discussed it, and I have us on a mailing list where they let you know what shows are coming up for the next few months. I'm sure we can work something out. Worse comes to worst, I'll pay someone to sit in for me.

Wow. That sounds like a pain in the ass. It's a Toshiba, actually, and pir is going to give me a USB mouse tomorrow. W00t!
