Can your body become immune to St. John's Wort over time? I'm starting to be afraid that's happening to me. Damn. I liked that stuff so much. It worked just as it should, but now it doesn't seem to be as strong. I've just felt kind of cut-off and alone for a while now, and I hate it. Oh, here's Tigira online. I'll go talk to her now. Tigira's cool. :)
So's the rest of her coven. Quite cool. I had a great time at the class last night, and I was flattered by an invitation to spend Samhain with them today. I'm looking forward to it.
Do I sound like I'm having mood swings? No, I'm not really. I just have been feeling very lonely today, and it's nice to remind myself that I'm not really alone. Ok, this is as rambling as my journal title promises to be. :)

I was glad to talk to you too.
I'm looking forward to Samhain - be sure to get a good night's rest the night before. ;)

Hope tomorrow's better, hon.

When I used to take echinacea as an immune booster, i had to periodically come off it for about a weel, as my body developed a tolerance for it. I also realize i haven't been doing anything to help you NOT feel alone. I will see you tomorrow night and try to reverse that a bit!

Well thank you for that. :) I will make sure your good intentions do not go unpunished. :P

Maybe I will go off the St. John's wort for a week or something. Just to see.

Well, did you change brands of St. John's wort, maybe? I know that since it isn't regulated, the amount of hypericin in each brand varies greatly, so some may have a noticeable affect and others none at all. I was inclined to think it acted like other anti-depressants that you have to take on a regular basis for it to be effective, but perhaps that's not the case, and a break would be better for you.

You *do* need to take it on a regular basis for it to work. And, although I've used different brands, they list the amount of hypericin in each dose on the label. I've always taken the same amount. I don't know what the best step is. If problems continue, I'll experiment. If not, I won't worry about it. :)
