Birthday planning

I'm reposting this from an entry I made before the holidays. I figure no one had time then to look at it, and it has long since disappeared from everyone's friends page. Here it is again, with a glaring grammatical error corrected.

So I'm starting to think about planning something for my birthday. My birthday's January 9th, which is a Sunday. My friend dahveed76 is going to come visit that weekend, on Saturday evening. I was thinking I'd like to do something with all my friends here on Friday night, the 7th. Now, here are some options:

1. That night is Flesh at ManRay. If you're up for some fetish-y fun, that would be an idea.

2. Sunset Grill and Tap has good beer. Very good beer.

3. There are many nice restaurants out there. I hear they have food. We could eat it.

4. I am open to other suggestions. Ice skating has crossed my mind.

Now, who's interested in doing what? Let me know! I want to find something to do that will get the maximum number of people out and about. I'm also thinking that this schedule would leave dee_cee plenty of time Saturday and Sunday to plan her Bad Gift Party. :) Edit: I now have 2 contributions for that!

It's really not that hard. I skated for the first and so far only time a couple years ago. I can't ROLLER skate to save my life, but the ice skates weren't bad. I only fell once, when my easy success up to that point led me to believe I could whiz around the rink nonchalantly at a rather high speed. Other than that, I was fine.

I'm thinking #2 and #3 could easily be combined into an event that would leave everyone satisfied. Sunset has some pretty good food, and there would even be a wider range you could eat given that you're not on Atkins anymore. Hey, maybe a night of beer and food at Sunset followed by pool at Big City could be fun.
