Ow ow ow.

My head has been hurting since early this afternoon, but now it's pounding. It's not from lack of caffeine, dehydration, or stress. I feel a little nauseous too. Is this a migraine? If so, I hate 'em. Ow. Come on, ibuprofin, do your stuff...

if it feels like there are carpentry nails inside (often just one side of) your skull and they're twisting, you can't stand up straight, there are strange flashing lights in your vision which mean you can't see and any light or sound makes you want to curl up and die or take a drill to your temple to just make it stop... then that's what migraines are like for me.

Pounding headaches with a bit of nausea sounds like a nasty, but normal, headache. Feel better soon...

No lights, but in addition to the nausea I'm getting that feeling like I do when I have a fever, that everything is oversensitized...cold feels colder, hot feels hotter, and moving is kinda painful. Hope I'm not getting sick.

Feel better soon...

Thanks. :) I hope I do. I want to sample that new scotch when I'm NOT feeling like shit.

Yeah; sounds like a migraine - hypersensitivity to heat/cold/light/noise/smells is quite a common symptom. If ibuprofen doesn't shift it it's *definitely* a migraine. Mine get worse when I bend down too. Sleep a lot, and eat everything you feel like you want to eat no matter how bad for you it is - recharging your batteries is usually the only way to shift a migraine..

Yeah, I'm gonna jump in the shower now. Hopefully warm water will help. :)

Thanks. :) I think that the combination of ibuprofin and lots of hot water has helped quite a bit. I think that the headache and nausea combined with the tiredness and muscle soreness that I've had all day to make me feel worse than I actually was. Now I am much better.

Good to hear that -- migraines really suck. The last time I had one, my mother-in-law was driving the kids and I back home from a day spent... doing something, can't remember what. Jeff was obviously gone for the weekend. Anyway, every light that came toward us seemed aimed at me and designed to spear my eyeballs, every sound instantly shredded my nerves, and every jolt felt designed to make me empty my stomach. So, I got something to drink, got Motrin, took both and lay down in the dark after I sent the kids to bed. Dark + no sound + lie very still + medicine = no more migraine. Whew.

I do now. Had a shower and some drugs, and I am feeling much better. :)

I'm glad I'm not actually sick...if I were, you'd be bound to get it next!
