Shaking in my boots

Okay, so I'll admit it--I'm scared to death. I have my six-month review at work today at 2:30. I'm so nervous. I always feel like nothing I do is good enough (though I do keep trying harder in spite of that), and my boss is terrifying. Ack! Wish me luck, everyone. I don't expect to lose my job or anything, but I don't know if I'll get a raise like most people do after six months. And I could use one. I mean, I'm not hurting for money, and I always have a buffer in the bank, but that buffer isn't increasing.
On the plus side, I had a faboo weekend. Made candles for the first time! I'm very proud of that. I went to Man Ray and engaged in inappropriate PDAs on the dance floor. (hehehe) I went to Sam's housewarming, which was lots of fun. I also went to a Pagan Pool Party (aka Wet Witches 2003). Man, I *really* want a pool! Mmmm...pleasant memories. :)
Only weird point at that party: some guy I didn't even know told me I had the energy of an upside-down cross. Er...what? Huh? Okay, then. I said to him, "Honestly, I don't like to think of myself as having the energy of any kind of cross." Man, some Pagans are either really crazy or they just pull stuff out of their ass all the time. Wacko.
I saw a yuppie today reading Naked Lunch. There may be hope for the world. I'm still too nervous about this afternoon to look forward to the future, however.

Evening

There is a yappy little dog outside, yapping his little doggy head off. Do you know, I just typed "god" instead of "dog"? A yappy little god. Now *that's* a funny picture!
After my evil review I decided I needed a nice dinner as a reward. I made myself some lazy paella (mmm) and had my last bottle of Creation, then a shower. I now have a mud mask and a shower cap on as I write this...very attractive. Good ol' Queen Helene. When it's dry I'm going to bed. Think I'll do some visualization so I can have myself some interesting dreams. No icky nightmares done as a serial! I can't even remember what that one was about now. *Yawn*. Okay, time to go. Nighty-night, all!
