A quick overview

Friday night: PNO. Scary chick present. I was already feeling like this. I had no date. Combined, these factors led to a decision NOT to go to ManRay after. I went home and fell asleep on the T. Bleah.

Saturday was shopping-heavy. Grand Opening was the first stop (ok, after the bagel place). Bought goodies. Then I went next door to the Indian clothing store, Delhi. Bought an altar cloth, a sarong for me, a sarong that turns out to be for pierceheart, and another present for the boy, just something that caught my eye. Then groceries. Needed that. The evening was spent in a chat date. Brownies (No-Pudge Fudge, mint chocolate) were made at 1am. Warm brownies were finally eaten.

Sunday morning started out with a lovely phone call, alas, all too short. Lots and lots of laundry followed, and cooking prep work. Over to lindalee's in the evening, and lots of food. Got back way late, though taking a cab from Porter made it earlier than it might have been. Took down all the postcards (90 now? something like that...) from my wall in preparation for the painters. Slept. Not enough.

And two good things:

1. Phone dates and chat dates
2. SPINACH!!! :D

A few more things I neglected to mention

I got a new phone! I think I sent my new number to most people who had my old number, as well as a few who didn't have it. this is my new toy! Yay! The camera could be better, true, but I'd have to pay a lot more.

Also, work has started on getting my apartment back into shape. I got a call from the painter this morning. Turns out there's a leak on the third floor, dripping down to me on the first. Bleah. I wonder if the people right above us are having problems too. The plumber is working on it now, and the painters will plaster and paint everything tomorrow. Yay!

If all goes well, I will next tackle the issues of my non-closing bedroom door and the rotting windowsill in the bathroom.

Hmm. I think I need food. Yay for leftover paella! :)

I am so psyched. I was told that my room would be finished tomorrow, in terms of painting and plastering, and that the bathroom would be done the next day. Well, I came home and saw...it's ALL done!!!!! YAY!

Life is good.
