Yes, life is good. I have two big reasons to be happy, and those are just keeping me up like anything. :)

This past weekend was fun. Got to spend some time with some good people after a night that included creme brulee. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...decadent! Saturday I bought two cute tops for CHEAP. One is a pure merino cable knit Irish sweater, pretty blue color. It was $17. Yeah, baby. Saturday night I wanted something fun to do, but didn't have much hope for fun appearing on such short notice. But it did! I saw some good bands at Skybar with pir, two of which had some very nice eye candy. Mmm. Pretty boys. Not, of course, to slight the eye candy that was standing next to me. :)

Sunday, I slept really late. That was unusual. Nice, though. I had a leisurely lunch with two cups of Vietnamese coffee (mmmm) at Diesel, and then made my way home, where I did the chucking of the clothes. Ate some dinner. Took a shower. Had a nice mud mask facial. Utterly forgot about the Super Bowl until I heard cheering in the streets. Thought, "Ah, I guess we must have won." Due to the late sleeping, I sipped a small scotch while reading in bed, to help me fall asleep. It worked. Baby, that Lagavulin is a nice one. Thanks again. :)

So we have something called "performance homework" this semester in dance. We have to sign up for one class where we perform a short piece in front of the class. It can be choreographed or improvised. It can be to any music we like. I was going to do something to a normal belly dance piece, maybe something by George Abdo. But first, I decided to do a quick flip through my non-belly dance music, to see if there might be anything else fun. Dead Can Dance crossed my mind. But before I got to that in my CD case, I came across something else. "Should I? Hmmm. Yeah, you know, I really think I have to. Oh, fuck yes."

Tomorrow, I will be semi-improvising a short drum solo piece to Tom Waits's "Pasties and a G-String".

Oh boy is this gonna be fun...
