Jun. 14th, 2006 10:24 amI am tired this morning.
pierceheart had to get up at 4:20 am to go to the airport, and I didn't sleep well after that. I did sleep a bit, but it wasn't as much as I needed. I imagine he's even more tired though. I miss that boy already!
PNO was fun last night. Not too many people showed up, but all of us who were there knew each other pretty well, so we had a great time. Tonight will be a bit quieter: hit Garment District after work and hopefully find some shoeses, and then go home to eat leftover chicken curry. Mmm, curry. Depending on how ambitious I'm feeling after dinner, I might hit the grocery store to get the necessary ingredients and equipment (springform pan) for a low-fat blueberry cheesecake.
Since I'm unavoidably busy on Sunday, I think I will see about visiting my parents from Friday night through Saturday afternoon, to give my dad a card and small present. He's going to get a Spider Robinson book. If he manages to make the time to read it, he will love it, punster that he is. I like the idea of introducing my father to new books and music and stuff. He's done so much of that for me, after all.
I think I might start bringing cookbooks to work. I have a good deal of free time here, and doing that would save me time and energy, since I could easily pick out a recipe to make in the evening, and get stuff from the grocery store on my way home from work.
And I think that's about it for my morning update. Oh, wait: weird dream of last night! I dreamed
pierceheart was saying goodbye to me (this was after he'd already left), and that for some reason, he was a midget. Well, he was DISGUISING himself as a midget somehow, to trick me. He made himself look really short. I was confused as hell. Then he was back to normal size, and he laughed at me for being confused. Not in a mean way, just a "Ha! I got you!" way. Weird.
[Edit]: I just realized it was weird that I said I was tired, but put "awake" for my mood. I'm not sleepy, just a little yawny. It'll catch up with me, I'm sure.
