Yesterday I made it until 1:30 without getting hungry. Now it's 11:30 and my tummy is rumbly. Same breakfast, same time. Go figure! I have Weight Watchers Swedish meatballs for lunch. Hmm...if they're diet, does that make them MOCK-Swedish meatballs? Bork, bork, bork! (note to self: a Swedish Chef icon would not be a bad idea.)

Being back at work is making me feel lazy, after Stones. I keep feeling like I should be doing something, or at least walking around. Yesterday, when I went to the grocery store after work, I jogged up the escalators at Porter Square. And liked it. Strange. I think I need more exercise.

So. Tonight is dinner in the North End. Tomorrow is laundry (joy). Friday is...open! If anyone wants to do something cheap I may be up for it. If not, cooking myself a decent dinner and kicking back sounds ok too. Ooh, hey, maybe my friend M is available. We need to have our Viggo Mortensen Droolfest sometime soon. (We have agreed that we need to watch The Indian Runner together at some point to see ALL of our favourite cinecrush, and, um, a really good movie). Probably she's busy, but I'll check.

Saturday night, the boy and I are going to give our anniversary activity another shot, and go check out Shakespeare on the Common. Yay! Let's hope neither thunderstorms nor sudden sickness get in the way this time!

In other news, I've found myself doing a lot more analytical thinking about spiritual and magical stuff lately. That is, I've been doing a lot of, "Does this work or not, and if so, why, and if not, why not?" thinking about techniques and methods. It's pretty fascinating. Must journal.

I now have an icon for talking about food.

Or just being silly. :)

So, I may as well put said icon to use. Last night I was at a potluck hosted by [livejournal.com profile] desiringsubject and her household. Much good food there, including a very tasty curried potato salad and some delicious pizzas by [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart. My contribution was the same barleywine quickbread I made for an earlier potluck, but served with vintage cheddar this time. YUM. It seemed to go over well, judging by the speed with which it disappeared and all the compliments I got. :D Yeah, I'll be making that one fairly often, I think. Though I do need to make another yeasted bread soon. Maybe even this weekend. If it's going to be beer bread, though, I'd better get some more beer. The last of those barleywines is for DRINKING, dammit.

Bread. It does a body good. Well, THIS body, anyway.
