Space cadet
Aug. 10th, 2006 09:09 amYup, that's me this morning: a space cadet. Late to bed and early to rise makes you sleepy and groggy and stupid. :) I didn't get to sleep until shortly after midnight last night. I had a quite decent dinner at some Italian restaurant (price range: cloth napkins on the tables, but simply folded, and no candles or bulbous wine glasses) with
witchyspyce,
cloakedrose, and
whiteboy. Lobster ravioli being MIA, I ate the Kraken instead. Arrrrr.
I finally got to see the masterpiece of five-minute films that is Beethoven's Rogue, by
witchyspyce and company. It was really quite well done, but I had to giggle anyway. Particularly at the angsty shots of
cloakedrose playing piano.
Things learned:
1. People who hesitate before telling you their age are probably preparing to lie about it, so it's handy when they leave their driver's license out somewhere in the room. :P
2. Velociraptors like chicken wings.
3. "Stalker music" is an instantly recognizable genre within the whole film-score type of category. And it is possible to create a musical theme for "a pig in a barnyard".
So, yeah. After seeing the movie, I totally need to introduce
witchyspyce to my cousin L and also to
j4yx0r. So they can geek about the world of filmmaking.
And on that note, I'm gonna write my cousin, because I've been neglecting the guy for a while. Oops.
