Oh what a beautiful mornin'!
Dec. 2nd, 2006 02:26 pmAnd it is, too. The sun is shining out there, and the temperature is actually seasonably brisk. Good day for gift shopping. Now, if only I knew what I was shopping for! I have some ideas for
pierceheart, but not for anyone else. My father, well, I could get him cookbooks, music, etc., and he'd be happy, so a Borders will likely turn up something good for him. Or I might get him a book on beer or a beer-of-the-day calendar or something, and some beers. Or a book on wine. My mom's hard. She gets herself anything she wants, usually, so there's not much out there that she wants and doesn't have. Plus, she doesn't have a lot of real interests. She likes some TV shows, she's on a low-carb diet, and she likes clothes. But our bodies are probably too different for me to be able to get clothes for her, and there's not a heck of a lot I can do with the other two things. My sister is also not really a person with interests. I might end up getting her some stuff from Lush, because there isn't one of those around where she lives, and she might like some of their stuff (the sweeter-smelling stuff). But she can also be really picky about smells, so...I dunno. Hell, she's picky about everything. Maybe pajamas, or something. *shrugs*
And I have no clue at ALL what to get for
pierceheart's parents. One of these days I'll have to knit his mom a pretty wrap or something, but I just don't have time this year.
And what to get for
dahveed76? Hmm. No clue, yet.
At least I was up early today. I didn't really fall asleep again after the boy left for drill, since my room was already getting light (my window faces eastish). I've had breakfast and am sipping away at my coffee. Then I'll hop in the shower, dress, and get out there. I may start downtown and work my way back to Harvard Square or something. We'll see. But first I should call my mom and see what she has to say about presents for the rest of the family.
