pierceheart and I saw a house that I think we'd both have been happy to snap up ASAP. It was big, beautiful, completely renovated, and it had a real yard complete with patios. It was amazing, and we probably could have gotten them to come down to our price range since it was only slightly above that.
Unfortunately, the damn place is in the middle of nowhere. Well, not really, but for a non-driver, it might as well be. Public transportation sucks in that part of Medford near Malden, and there isn't much nearby except houses. Also,pierceheart said that traffic would be bad around there for driving, too. Crap. It was really a lovely place.
We're giving ourselves a week afterpierceheart comes home to make a decision about putting an offer on something or deciding to rent. Even that is cutting it DAMN close for our timeframe. I just hope the one other place I've seen that I've liked enough to want to put down an offer is still available then, or that we find something else that really works well for us.
