Five positives
Jul. 30th, 2008 09:13 amI need 'em today.
1. Last night's shrimp and corn chowder was utterly delicious. I really do love being able to cook simple stuff like that off-the-cuff and have it come out very tasty. I'm grateful I have some innate cooking skill.
2. There are still lovely flowers brightening up my desk. The roses in particular are amazing: they have this almost hand-painted look to them, like the playing cards from Through the Looking-Glass have been at them.
3. I have myself, and I have my relationship with my gods, and those are two things that can never be taken from me, not even temporarily. I always have them, and I always will. Both are good things to have.
4. I think that I will benefit emotionally from the catharsis of the upcoming Sabbat. It's a big one for me, always, and it's very transformative. Plus, it makes me focus on something other than myself.
5. I should be getting my first paycheck with my raise in it either today or tomorrow!
