Ew. No. But not far off. There didn't seem to be anything remotely appealing at his brunch, so I'm wondering why China Pearl is so popular for dim sum...Mary Chung's is a better restaurant, and I'm willing to try theirs, but so far the mention of dim sum has me repressing shivers of remembered ick.
The first time I was there, Fire and Ice seemed great. I think I've been twice since and been less than impressed. Dunno, though. It is up to you, it being your day and all, but I'd really prefer not to be in a place where I can't find anything to eat, like last year.
Engrish.com is awesome. Speaking as someone who is constantly, mercilessly and cruelly corrected on his use of the English language, it is encouraging to find that my apparently lamentable language skills are only the second worst in the world.
Man, I've met people who have been speaking English as a first language all their lives who speak it worse than you.
Also, my friend Raul used to work at a car wash in high school. He's from Transylvania, and has coloring similar to yours. One day a customer asked him for directions someplace. He gave them to her in his perfectly good but accented English. She stared at him blankly for a moment and then said, "Sorry, I don't speak Spanish." Raul was too dumbfounded to say anything, and the woman drove off in a huff.
Some of the food at that brunch was actually really good, but some of it was really squicky. Like I said before ... gelatinous black squid-ink, semi-solidified and rolled up like a Hostess Ho-Ho gone wrong. OOG.
On the other hand, there were these fried dough concoctions filled with sweet bean paste that kicked ass. Wish I knew what they were so I could try to find another place to get them that's closer to home!

Actually I was thinking of trying to find a buffet place that would have Atkins and vegetarian friendly options. How about Fire & Ice?
