And now comes the fun of finding out if I can use makeup to cover up the hickey on my neck before I go in to work in the office where they know that my boyfriend is overseas and DON'T know I'm poly.
I love how a few people I know used to make odd excuses for what happened to their neck. One guy said that it was a bruise from a tennis ball. Another person I know said it was caused by their wash liquid. Yet another blamed it on something falling out of their cabinet.
I had a rather...er...unexpected date. It went very well. :) And a certain friend of yours who just had a birthday this past weekend can vouch for that...
well, too late now . . . I had the "no marks where work can see them" rule when I started dating Christina after Laurie left (even more important: no marks where STBX can see them), and that got broken the first night she stayed with me (there was this thing about HER roommates not finding out about us . . . catty roommates)
I got applause, but vowed to never do it again.
Yeah, right.
I WANT marks. Some of them where they can be seen. To show that I am someones.
And there is only one person I will intentionally let do that.
Accidents DO happen, though.
And I AM looking forward to stripes etc where no one cann see them until I get to manray and my shirt comes off.
And there was the night I spent in a GW dorm room in 95, then went to renfaire and had my run in with the MDSP . . . trooper asked what had happened to me . . .
Even worse was explaining to mom and dad, when they knew I was going to propose soon . . . fortunately, Dad just laughed with bitterness, and Mom ignored it.

Date: 2005-02-14 03:49 pm (UTC)Personally, I find "no marks where my coworkers can see them" to be a good rule to live by, as it still leaves plenty of options. :-)
