Went to a concert in Berlin in 2000...my favourite band's 20th anniversary show. I had been studying abroad in Ireland, and decided that as long as I was on the right side of the Atlantic, there was no excuse to miss it. I met up in Berlin with a bunch of people I knew on the band's mailing list, from all over the world. The concert went really late, and only a few buses were still running. We all went over to this one guy's place in Westend. His dad was an Israeli diplomat. We were starving and in need of caffeine, and he was kind enough to feed and caffeinate us. Someone commented on the nice china, and the guy laughed and said "Yeah, that's the official state china for when my dad has diplomats over here for dinner."

I drooled over a very pretty Austrian boy who smiled and smiled at me, but barely spoke English.

We finally took the first U-Bahn trains out of there at about 5. I went back to the hostel, packed up, and headed for the airport to catch my flight back to Ireland.

I still say that's got to be one of the absolute best weekends of my entire life.
