The weekend
Mar. 14th, 2005 01:42 pmAh, another beautiful Monday.
Right.
At least it could be a worse one. Work is fairly busy without being a madhouse, and I just ate some salmon with orzo and veggies. Mmm.
This weekend was pretty good in general. Friday night's thingy was fun, with lots and lots of gooooood food. Brownies. OMG. Lavender metheglin. *sigh* Then it was off to
pir's going-away party. Lots of people were there, most of whom I'd only met a few times. It was fun. I spent a good bit of time in between
pir and
pierceheart, while each of them had an arm around me. I felt spoiled. :D I said goodbye to
pir...it's sad to see him go, but I know he'll love being in Dublin. Then it was back to the Pussy Palace (my apartment...hey, we DO have three cats) with
pierceheart for a good long talk before we finally went to sleep at about 4:30. Oy.
Saturday, understandably, had a slow start. We went shopping for funky club clothes. I bought a cute little black pleather micromini with a buckle-closed zipper on it. The boy got.--excuse me, let me wipe the drool off my chin--black pleather trousers. GodDAMN, that boy has great legs and a butt to die for. Mmm. Dinner at Tanjore in Harvard Square was a total foodgasm. I love Indian. We watched part of Gladiator at home, but ended up going to bed early.
Sunday we were more productive on the clothes shopping. The boy got some totally spiff suits and ties and suchlike. W00t. I got a couple of skirts and three new tops for summer. We then spent a good long time wandering around Beacon Hill, drooling over real estate and admiring a beautiful sunset. We went to PNO, but no one showed up. We had just asked for the check at quarter to 8 when
dolphindream called to say she was on her way. But we were tired from the shopping and the walking up and down hills, and headed back home.
Tonight is laundry night. Joy. At least it means I have a full selection of clothes to choose from after tonight. I just hate doing laundry when the ground is icky and slushy and I have to haul stuff for several blocks on slushy sidewalks in an old lady shopping cart. Bleah.

Date: 2005-03-14 08:03 pm (UTC)Oy indeed. Don't want to put either of us through that again, nor what prompted it. Got some advice from someone whohas been there, done that, got the combat patch and the degrees to prove it. It matches much of what you have said. Things I was going to do, sooner, rather than later.
