Mar. 28th, 2005 12:32 pmBliss. Bliss, bliss, bliss.
Yes, it was an amazing weekend. The amazingness started Friday night, when we went out to ManRay. It was my first time there since late summer, I believe.
pierceheart and I danced quite a lot, and spent lots of time chatting with great peeps like
erik_j_meyer,
dee_cee,
mindspider,
malaki42, and others. The boy looked wonderful in his matte vinyl pants and his leather. :) We had snackies at Hi-Fi after. Went to bed very late.
Saturday, we cleaned a lot. The place needed it, and we wanted it to look nice for when
dahveed76 came over. He got to our place in the evening, and there was much rejoicing. (YAY!) We went out for a rather later dinner than we had planned. We got martinis and appetizers at Noir (in the Charles Hotel, not bad). Then we realized we were still hungry, and hit Charlie's Kitchen for some less-swanky fare. Back to the apartment, and again went to bed very late. Amazingly, I slept in spite of the fact that I barely had wiggle room.
Sunday we got up late and went to breakfast at a diner in Saugus. Lots of food. We went for a walk at a pretty park in Malden, I think it was. Back to the apartment, where we watched the rather bizarre Vanilla Sky. A few hours later, it was (alas) time to bid farewell to
dahveed76 for the time being. We did so. Dinner was cheddar and mango chutney sandwiches in front of the TV, where I started falling asleep by 8. Went to bed very early because I could no longer keep my eyes open, after a few minutes of reading in bed together like an old married couple.
Woke up this morning to a sick and badly-rested
pierceheart. Poor boy. Will make him some tea this evening, and will cook dinner.
Yeah, what a truly amazing weekend. I feel so spoiled, and so lucky. :) I'm sorry it had to end on a sad note for
dahveed76 with news of his grandfather's death. I wish I could give him a big hug. I think he had a good weekend up until that, though. I hope so. :)
