Interview meme
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions and leave the answers as comments on my LJ
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

[livejournal.com profile] p_firesinger's questions:
1) Where is your dream vacation spot (2 weeks paid in full)?

2) Where is the most dangerous location you have ever gotten busy?

3) When did you first realize your urges were not mainstream?

4) If you could save five people from being killed in armagedon who would you save?

5) If you could support one charity or cause without a budget or limit, what charity or cause would you champion?

1. Depends on my mood. I'd love to go back to Ireland, for sure. But I also want to to the Cote d'Azur really badly...it sounds so damned beautiful.

2. Physically dangerous, or just risque? If the first, I've gone down on a guy while a passenger in his car...on the highway. Bumping us into neutral by mistake was scary. If the second, probably in a friend's swimming pool while a whole bunch of people were only a few yards away, barely hidden from view.

3. Hmm. If it's sexual urges you're talking about, I started having a curiosity about BDSM only around the age of 22. I had reached a point where I had developed more confidence about sex in general (realized I was pretty good at it), and had a boyfriend who really turned me on in general, instead of the guy before him, who I wasn't really attracted to. I realized I loved feeling a bigger, stronger guy touching me for a change, and that I liked it when he was a little rougher than he was intending, and hurt me a bit. It was a nice change from the boy before him, and made me realize what I'd been missing. As I got to know people who had more experience with non-mainstream sexuality, I was more and more intrigued. Meeting (and dating) a guy who I trusted, loved, and lusted over gave me the push I needed to really start exploring.

4. I'd probably wait so long trying to decide that Armegeddon would happen before I made up my mind. Probably the five people who had the greatest combination of healthy genes, imagination, intelligence, common sense, family sense (i.e., family is important to them), wisdom, and loving openness (so the mating dynamics wouldn't be too much of a problem for them). Three women and two men. Then they could maybe save the species.

5. I think I'd give to the International Red Cross. They have been doing SO MUCH good work for so long, and have helped people all over the world.

1) Meat, main courses mostly, but almost any meat.

2) Lobster, in almost any form.

3) There used to be a bench between the lodges and the stoneledge hole, it was nice and quiet and not hard to get to. And people did not know to look for me there.

4) Dr. Seuss books, they are always written to be read aloud, and they have such joy and animation that you can't help but get into it.

5) Mother Nature normally. I spent a large amount of time wandering the wildlife preserve next to my house.

1. Why did you join the military?: It was a combination of things, I guess. I didn't feel like college was for me. My dad and uncles had done it. I needed a solid source of income to help my parents. To some extent, I wanted to die in service. I kind of had a death wish in general at the time, and dying for something seemed like a very romantic notion.

2. What drew you to Gnosticism?: I was perfectly happy being Catholic until the church made a decree that if you supported gay marriage, you could not be Catholic. It was pretty disturbing for me, really. I felt like my parents had disowned me. It didn't strike me as something Jesus Would Do. Honestly, the whole thing really confused me and kind of.. left me feeling all sad and alone. I turned to Christian Gnosticism because of their recognition of Jesus and disdain for the god of the Old Testament. Seemed good to me.

3. How do you like to express yourself creatively?: I don't. I don't really have any creativity. o.O Although I am currently writing Paganism on the Net: What You Need to Know to Survive the Forums. I'm on page ten.

4. What's the latest band that really made you say "wow!", and why?: I don't think I know any new bands. With the recent passing of Saint Patricks Day, I was reminded of how much I love the Dropkick Murphy's. And I said, "wow! I forgot I loved them!"

5. What frightens you?: Failure.

1. What place or places spiritually stimulate you?: I am always emotionally and spiritually moved by the location in which I was initiated. The original covendom that I was initiated at was later on ruined by tree loggers.

2. What period in history (doesn't matter where) interests you the most?: The renaissance period due to the art and of course the clothing.

3. Favourite book or film genre, with some examples that you love?: Fantasy is my favorite genre but I am also quite fond of religious texts, examples for fantasy would be things like Anne McCaffrey's Pern series, Kathrine Kurtz's Deryni series, as for religious texts I am quite fond of the Dharmapadda, Bhagavad Gita, Tao Te Ching, etc.

4. If you could lessen the world's ignorance in one way, what one thing would you like everyone in the world to learn?: How to cook and enjoy the extreme diversity of cooking ingredients and styles, not to mention the nutritional aspects.

5. What country or region would you like to travel on a culinary tour?: France for they are to me the mother of haute cuisine, and Marrakesh area to pick up recipes and techniques of good Middle Eastern cuisine.

1. What was your favourite bedtime story as a kid?
I didn't really have any bedtime stories, or, at least not enough that I had a favourite one. I remember Jerry reading to me from A Child's Garden of Verses which was pretty cool.
Once I got the knack of reading and enjoying it, I used to read myself to sleep with whatever sci-fi or fantasy I had available.

2. What are you most proud of?
The fact that I have learned from my mistakes.

3. What would you really like me to cook for you one of these days?
Oh, you meanie. This is a tough one. There are so many favourites out there . . . two things, one is one you want, as well.
Paella. And I want a full boiled dinner, corned beef, cabbage, neeps, tatties, carrots, parsnips, rutabagas . . . cider vinegar for the cabbage, good brown mustard for everything else (needn't be Gulden's but that's the style I want.)

4. If you were to learn to play an instrument, which would you pick, and why?
Bagpipes, because damnit, they are cool as hell. I also want to learn the accordion, as it is so versatile, and I can sing while playing it. I want to become a djembe cowboy!

5. If you'd had an audience with the Pope before he died, what would you have said to him or asked him?
Shto chort etovo govno? (What the hell is this shit?)
What happened to the premise behind Veritatis Splendor? How could you let Ratzinger write doctrine in violation of Canon Law?
