Last night was a blast. dee_cee and I met up to try to hit the Harvard Square Stitch 'n' Bitch. We went into the Red Line where it's held, but saw no yarn, needles, or any other signs of knitting geekery. We decided to go to Grendel's for dinner instead, where we shared some nummy nachos and I also had a nummy Caesar salad. We moved over to Peet's Coffee afterwards and parked ourselves at some tables with our tea to knit. Her socks are totally the bomb. Wow. My project (which I won't name here because it's practice for a future gift) is so simple by comparison. But it will not be flat or even square in any way when it's finished. I even have to use double-pointed needles at one point. So there, lindalee. :P I think this may well become a monthly event.

I came home and took a shower, played some Kitten Cannon (1229 points high score), and got in bed. Just as I was falling asleep, a handsome lad in a spiffy suit came into my bedroom. Why, hello there! pierceheart came to bed too, and we slept. Not long enough, but we slept.

Man, I SO want it to be Friday already. This week is dragging. Bleah.

fyi, i like DPNs. they're fun! i could use more knitting time, though lately i've been spending spare time reading. can't read and knit at the same time, damn it.

I had a blast, too. I think Harvard Square is the perfect 1/2 way point for us to meet and do our "SnB" thing.

And the great prices at Grendel's doesn't hurt, either!

Goodness, gracious, you really are my doppelganger! I just got into knitting a few weeks ago, and I spent the afternoon engaged in "knitting geekery" as you call it. I'm hooked! I'm thinking of starting a "stitch, bitch and liqour" night at my place:-P

Me too! 'Cept I had to unravel my scarf 'cause I completely messed it up. I have no idea how to cast on. Sheesh, I have no idea how to even make a slipknot! Up until now, I just thought slipknot was a crappy neo-alternative band!! I'm going back to the knitting store tomorrow for some more lessons:-P
